What the match score honestly is — and isn't
Each job's match % is weighted keyword coverage: we extract the terms that posting leans on most (the same engine as our free match checker) and measure how many appear in your stored resume, weighted by how heavily the posting uses them. It is not an "ATS score" — no tool outside the actual ATS can honestly compute one. It's a fast, consistent way to compare your fit across the jobs you're tracking and spot which application needs work before you hit send.
Your data stays in this browser
Your resume, every job title, company and pasted posting are stored in your browser's local storage on this device — no sign-up required, no server copy, and nothing you type is sent anywhere. The only thing that leaves the page is anonymous usage counts (a job was added, a button was clicked) with no content attached. The one exception is your explicit choice: if you sign in via your dashboard, the tracker syncs to your account so it follows you across devices (the tracker tells you when it's doing this, and you can delete the account copy any time). Use the export buttons to take your data with you; clearing your browser data clears the tracker too.
