The Nvidia Hiring Process, Sourced to NVIDIA's Own Careers Pages

Nvidia publishes a short, official "How We Hire" page rather than the elaborate interview breakdowns that circulate on prep and forum sites. This page is built from what NVIDIA itself documents โ€” the three stages, the resume advice, the interview and coding-exercise format โ€” with the gaps stated honestly rather than filled in from unverified candidate anecdotes.

All trademarks belong to their respective owners, including NVIDIA Corporation. BookMyJobInterview.ai is an independent resume-optimization service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to NVIDIA Corporation in any way. This page describes the publicly documented application process to help candidates prepare their own applications; it does not imply this employer uses or recommends our service.

Which system does Nvidia use?

Nvidia's careers site runs on Workday. See our [Workday vendor page](/ats-systems/workday) for how the platform works generally.

Verification: Nvidia's official careers site resolves to nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite, and individual job postings and apply links follow the same Workday-hosted domain pattern.

The three stages Nvidia documents

Nvidia's official "How We Hire" page sets out three steps: Search & Apply, where candidates browse open roles and can upload a resume for matching, applying directly on Nvidia's site or via LinkedIn; Let's Meet, a series of interviews with the hiring manager, team members and employees from other groups; and Join the Team, where an offer is delivered by the recruiter followed by orientation details by email.

Nvidia's own resume advice is specific: apply to "the top three to five roles that best match your interests and experience" rather than mass-applying, and make sure your resume aligns with the position you're targeting. Nvidia states most candidates who advance hear back within a couple of weeks of applying, and have a hiring decision within a matter of weeks of their first interview.

What Nvidia says about interviews

Interviews are one-on-one, small-group, or panel format, by phone, video or in person, and "usually last 30โ€“60 minutes each," per Nvidia's own page. For technical roles, Nvidia states candidates may be asked to complete a coding exercise, typically via HackerRank, on a whiteboard or a laptop Nvidia provides.

Nvidia also states explicitly that unapproved AI tools (its own example: ChatGPT) used during an interview lead to disqualification. Late in the process, some candidates are offered an optional 15-minute "Insider Chat" with a member of an employee resource group โ€” Nvidia states directly that this conversation "doesn't influence hiring decisions," so treat it as informational rather than evaluative.

What Nvidia doesn't publish โ€” and what's just candidate anecdote

Nvidia's own pages don't publish a numbered, formal "core values" list, a stated number of interview rounds by seniority level, or specifics on system-design interviews or take-home assignments. Candidate-experience aggregator sites and forum threads describe more granular detail along these lines, but none of it is Nvidia-sourced, and this page doesn't independently verify or repeat it as fact โ€” if you've read a specific round-by-round breakdown elsewhere, treat it as one person's account, not Nvidia's documented process.

Nvidia's stated culture

Nvidia's "Life at Nvidia" page emphasizes hiring people from diverse backgrounds to do "what's never been done," describes its culture as encouraging employees to "be authentic, professional, and still disagree," and uses the phrase "we are Agile Without Fear." It also emphasizes holistic employee wellbeing, covering both mental and physical health, as part of how it frames inclusion driving innovation.

What's current in 2026

In a June 2026 Bloomberg appearance, CEO Jensen Huang said claims that AI is reducing jobs are "complete nonsense," arguing companies should hire more engineers as AI increases their productivity and predicting a hiring surge would "show up in our economy somehow soon." That's a stated prediction and opinion from Nvidia's CEO, reported as such โ€” not a documented Nvidia hiring commitment or policy change, and reporting at the time noted actual payroll data hadn't yet shown the predicted surge.

On remote work: Fortune reported in March 2025 that Nvidia has no plans to mandate a return to office, consistent with a 2020 comment from Huang that he had no issue with employees working from home indefinitely. We found no current official Nvidia policy page confirming this directly, so it's attributed here to Fortune's reporting rather than stated as Nvidia's own published policy.

Preparing your application: the checklist

Every item follows from the documented process above โ€” nothing here is folklore.

  • Apply via Nvidia's Workday-hosted careers site (nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com) or LinkedIn โ€” Nvidia's own guidance is to apply to the top three to five roles that best match your experience, not to mass-apply.
  • Align your resume specifically to the role you're targeting โ€” this is Nvidia's own stated resume advice.
  • For technical roles, expect a coding exercise, typically via HackerRank, on a whiteboard or a laptop Nvidia provides.
  • Expect one-on-one, small-group or panel interviews of roughly 30โ€“60 minutes each, with the hiring manager, team members and people from other groups.
  • Never use unapproved AI tools (Nvidia's own example: ChatGPT) during an interview โ€” Nvidia states this leads to disqualification.
  • If offered an optional "Insider Chat" with an employee resource group member late in the process, treat it as informational โ€” Nvidia states explicitly it doesn't influence the hiring decision.
  • Be skeptical of detailed third-party "insider" breakdowns of Nvidia's interview rounds or system-design content โ€” Nvidia's own published process is intentionally brief, and specifics beyond it aren't independently confirmed.
