If you are willing to travel for storm work, state availability explicitly; many utilities and contractors filter for candidates who confirm storm-response willingness.

Utilities are hiring around grid modernization, grid hardening, wildfire mitigation, undergrounding, and renewables interconnection, driven by aging-workforce retirements and federally funded transmission buildout. If your experience touches any of these — URD installation, line rebuilds in wildfire zones, substation or interconnection work, smart-grid equipment — name them with those exact phrases. Transmission experience and data-center-corridor buildout work are especially sought after, so distinguish clearly between distribution and transmission voltages you have worked.
